Sunday 16/12/07 v Birmingham Uni - Lost

Birmingham made 109-4 and won by 28 runs after bowling us out for 81. Mirpuri top scoring with 47.

Sunday 16/12/07 v Sheffield - Lost

Sheffield won 5 wickets after bowling us out for 51 and knocking them off in just 6 overs.


Friendlies

Friday 11/4/08 v Four Oaks CC (Twenty20) -  Lost

Watson-Darby playing for fouroaks scored an aggressive 31, including a big 6 off of teaminternational Mirpuri. In reply Hewitt scored a powerful 37 with severalsmaller contributions down the order.


Sunday 13/4/08 vLoughborough (away) - Lost

Upham took 4 wickets and Murphy kept well,snaffling 2 catches and a stumping. Plume hit a confident 25 asthe game slipped away from us.


Wednesday 16/4/08 v Aston (away) - Rained Off

Moral victory for BCU because we aren't mugs.


Sunday20/4/08 v Coventry (away) - Rained off

Although the real reason forcancellation is believed to be coventry's tank tops were in for drycleaning. So they wouldn't have looked their usual dapper selves.


Wednesday23/4/08 v Keele (away) - WON!!!

BCU 173-5 (Luhar 68, Murphy 29 not out)Keele 142 all out (Mandleberg and Plume both with 3 for barely any,Barter with 2 for 20 off 5)

Sunday 27/04/08 BCU  v University of Warwick Men's 2nd - Rained Off

Warwick 212-9, Mirpuri topped the bowling figures with 5 for 32 in his 10 overs. A promising start for us but the game was called off at lunch, due to it lashing down for 2 hours.

Wednesday 30/04/08 Oxford University Men's 1st v BCU - Rained Off

Wednesday 07/05/08 BCU  v University of Worcester Men's 1st - Lost

Poor effort from us with the bat saw us finishing on 165-9 in our 50 overs, with Mirpuri topping the scores with 47. Worcester won by 7 wickets with 26 overs to spare...

Sunday 11/05/08 Staffordshire University Men's 1st v BCU - Won

We made 233-9 in our 50 overs, with Mirpuri making his first century for the Uni (107 not out) Some great bowling performances from every bowler, meant we bowled Staff's out for 187 in the 46th over. The captain of the day (Taylor) lead the way with a match winning 6 for 30 in his 5.5 overs...

Wednesday 14/05/08 BCU v University of Leicester Men's 1st - Forfitted

Embarrassingly we were forced to give the tie to Leicester after failing to get 11 out for the match. Very dissapointing after Sunday's win and something we hope never happens again...
